I've been asked some excellent questions that I feel could enhance the explanation of the conscious creating process. If you have some questions of your own that you think could benefit others' pursuit of conscious creating, please CONTACT ME. Newer questions are posted at the top.
Q: Some people have told me to visualize once and then to let it go, to let the universe deal with it. Others have said that it's okay to continue the visualization, to re-work it if need be. Now, if all we have is "now", would not the continuation of a visualization that was originated hours, days or even years ago keep us from what is now? I'm not sure how this sounds phrased this way but I do feel I need clarification in order for me "dial" into this force. Maybe you have an answer...
Thank you so much for your time! Shane
A: It is correct that visualization (or any creation technique) only needs to be exercised once in order for the creation process to begin the manifestation. In fact, it's important to realize that it is our focusing on our intent, on what we truly want, is what truly begins the manifestation. The creation techniques are simply tools to help us direct our thoughts and our focus.
Our lives, our creations, follow our thoughts and strongest focus. Many have heard the term, “what we focus on expands”. The problem is that many people tend to focus on the lack of what they want. This is done by worry, such as worrying we wont be able to pay the bills; by doubt, such as doubting we would ever be financially free, and so on.
So we can do a technique and it would be sufficient, except in cases where we do fall prone to thoughts that negate it. If we often focus on the lack, and then fall back to these negating thoughts after doing our creation technique(s), then the energy will change directions according to our focus, and end up creating more conditions of lack. This is when it's a good idea to repeat a technique, where we have strong inclinations to fall back into thoughts of worry and doubt.
Now as far as the "now" continuum; while we are constantly moving from one instance of “now” to the next, we are still identifying with the identity self we have established ourselves to be and we do this within the duality-based aspect of “time”. We still think of ourselves as “us”, “we”, “I”, and we still identify with “our” needs, “my” goals, desires, and so on. As long as we are still identifying with the ego, which is a natural earthbound inclination, our continuous states of “now” will continue to seam together and much will remain unchanged (desires will stay the same, etc. until we grow in earthly time & adjust thoughts & focus accordingly).
I would think that until one truly masters being in each “now” moment uniquely, then our creations will still manifest according to who we are in the moments it was created and/or the moments our focus changes. I actually believe that if one truly mastered being in each “now” moment, then their creations would manifest rather quickly and the need for tools to focus thoughts would not be necessary.
I hope this has helped rather than confuse more. I tried my best to answer it! Tough question, but excellent!
Q: When attempting to bring in the emotions - feelings with my affirmations I draw a blank. I'm a little lost on this part. ~ Shane
A: The best way I've found to overcome this emotional block is to first think back in your memories for an experience that stirred the same feelings that you have for that which you are creating now. Then remember those old feelings long enough to be able to remember how they felt... then hold that
and turn your focus onto what you are now wanting to create.
Q: How long does it take for the creations to manifest?
A: The timeframe really depends on the individual and any blockages they may have to receiving what they’re trying to create. People want to bring something into their lives because they’re experiencing a lack of it. This lack is caused by blockages, which are old beliefs, fears, and doubts of worthiness of what they’re wanting, and so on. There are ways to incorporate the release of blockages in the techniques shared here. If we have a lot of blockages, the creations will manifest first by bringing up the blockages so that they can be dealt with and thus removed.
Some may manifest in increments, such as financial abundance and health or weight loss. These will manifest in progressive steps and could include signs and opportunities that will continue coming to us. It will then be up to us to notice and follow the synchronicity.
If we have some blockages, then the KEY is to repeat the creation techniques whenever we experience a negating thought, fear or doubt. Our thoughts are a constant stream of creative energy and the universal energy clay, so to speak, goes with this current. So, it's important to make a conscious effort to keep oour thoughts in alignment with oour goals.
Q: I know it depends but how long it will take to manifest (one month, three months, a year?) When do you stop if it doesn't come?
A: There really is no answer to this because it truly does depend. No creative situation will ever be like any other, ever. This is because each time there are different people, situations and intentions involved, all combining synchronistically and intentionally and fluctuating as intentions fluctuate. The only reason it wont come is because the individual is blocking it with negating thoughts, and the only reason to stop is if the individual decides they do not want the creation after all, or if they simply do not believe they can manifest their desires with their intentions.
Focus on this question indicates the existence of doubt and the expectancy of (and possible planning for) it not working. So I would suggest begin by maybe commanding or affirming first the belief or understanding that we truly CAN manifest our desires, and that it is perfectly right and in accordance with Divine Will that we have all our heart's desires, even the "material stuff".
Q: Are the commands the same as affirmations?
A: They are similar to affirmations but are much more extensive. The difference is that affirmations are more about changing beliefs and thought patterns, while the commands are a tool for focusing our intentions to create our lives consciously. They actually move creative energy into our lives and shape it according to our own intentions. Affirmations affect our thinking and commands affect our experience.
Q: How do we change a bad habit when the urge is so strong?
A: The best way is simply to begin. Even if it feels like we aren't doing anything about it or aren't making progress, we've at least begun! And from the point of beginning, it only goes forward and however much progress is made from there, there's that much less to go. And had we not begun, there'd still be that much to go!
We start a NEW habit (by affirming, commanding or other techniques) to replace the 'bad habit' with it's opposite (opposite quality, activity, action, feeling, etc.). It helps if we try not to think of it as a long, drawn-out process of "getting rid" of something bad, and instead we think of it as an exciting one of starting something NEW. This way the mind will be trained from the onset to focus on the new quality and not on the old one, doing this everyday and making it a part of our daily routine until you we longer feel the need.
It could start to work in different ways, such as we may notice that we think about or feel the urge of the habit less and less, or whatever triggers the desire to act out the habit may begin to appear around us less and less, or we may find ourselves more able to control ourselves more and more, or a combination of the above, and so on.
Q: Commands and Affirmations - How often (per day) should they be done and for how long of a duration?
A: It's really up to the individual. I encourage everyone to listen to and follow their intuition and go with what feels right. The commands and affirmations should be genuinely felt and should be spoken with true conviction and when read, they should be heard for real, with the inner and outer ears, the conscious and subconscious minds. If one finds themselves doing these robotically and their mind and feelings are elsewhere, then it would be a good time to stop.
If we feel ourselves doubting or feel the habit coming up or urges or anything like that, it would benefit us to do them more often. It all depends on the individual and what we are creating and the individuals energy around it. The individual can usually gauge the frequency required if they follow their instincts, but when in doubt, repeating more often wont hurt. Once is ALL that's needed to set ANY creation into motion. But, like mentioned before, any doubts or other negating actions or thoughts can set that creative motion into the opposite direction, so in these instances repetition IS important.
Q: "The hardest part is letting go and letting the universe take over. We are so used to thinking we must control everything to get what we want, when we ask and set our intent we often tend to let go! Can you help with the letting go????????????"
A: Yes, but first I want to comment on the "setting ntent". There is really no action to "set" the intent. The intent is already there - it is our deep desires, needs, dreams and goals. It's focussing on them, instead of the LACK of them, that defines "creating consciously". Now about letting go, it's really about trusting that the Universe will bring you what you intended. When we try to control, we do so because we aren't trusting. So if it's easy for one to ease into trust once they choose this perspective, then it will begin happening naturally. But for those who wont find it as easy, I suggest adding the following command to each manifesting technique & session they use until trust does become natural.
